Commissioner District 1

Commissioner Dean Smith was elected in November 2008. He is a graduate of Elba High School and graduated from Troy State University with a B.S. in Business Management. He spent seven years in the garment industry as an industrial engineer and retired after twenty-two years of service with Shell Oil as an operations specialist.
Commissioner Smith is married to Pamela, a teacher who has worked in the Elba City School system for twenty-eight years. They have two children, Dusty Smith and Dina Smith Matthews, and two wonderful granddaughters. The Smiths are members of Whitewater Baptist Church where he serves as deacon.
Commissioner Smith enjoys raising Brangus cattle, deer hunting, and taking his wife to fish for mullet.

Commissioner Kim Ellis, elected in November 2008, is a 1982 graduate of Zion Chapel High School. He received certification from Spartan School in Maumee, Ohio as a chemical specialist and certification from NSS in Toledo, Ohio as a mechanical technician.
Commissioner Ellis is married to Denise; they have three children - Brandy (married to Stephen), Joshua, and Caleb - and one grandson, Jaxson.
Commissioner Ellis is family oriented and loves to spend time with his boys hunting, fishing, and watching Alabama football. He is also a gifted woodcrafter.
Commissioner District 3

Commisioner Josh Carnley was elected in November 2012. He is a 1997 graduate of Kinston High School, Kinston, AL and 2000 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy and Soils.
Commissioner Carnley is a proud husband and father. He is a member and deacon of the Ino Baptist Church, Enterprise Rotary Club, Coffee County EMS Board, and Vice President of Kinston Young Farmers.
He enjoys spending time with his family, working on the farm with the cattle and the crops.
Frank "AL" Britt
Commissioner District 4

Commissioner Britt was elected in November 2008. He entered this arena very knowledgeable about county government, the agricultural industry, and financial matters.
He is a lifelong farmer and resident of Coffee County who graduated from Enterprise High School and Enterprise State Junior College.
He is married to Diane and they have five children and five grandchildren.He loves spending time with his family and when time permits, he loves to fish.
The Britts are members of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Enterprise, where he serves on the Board of Trustees and Vice President of the Coffee County Cooperative.
Jimmy E. Jones
Commissioner District 5

Commissioner Jimmy E. Jones was elected in November 2012. He is a graduate of the former Coppinville High School, former Enterprise State Jr. College, Alabama A&M University, and University of Alabama-Birmingham.
Commissioner Jones is a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church where he serves on the Steward Board. He serves on Community Bank & Trust Board of Directors, Medical Center-Enterprise Trustee Board, WRC Board of Directors, and U.S. Selective Services Board. He is presently a realtor at Century 21 Regency Reality. He is married to Yvonne and has one daughter.
He enjoys reading, billiards, football, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Commissioner District 6
E-mail: Donis "Mickey" Lee
Commissioner Donis "Mickey" Lee was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Kevin Mitchell in June 2015. Commissioner Lee is a 1969 graduate of the University of Alabama, receiving a BS degree in Business Administration and played football under Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. He has worked in the hotel industry for 20 years and served 11 years as a sheriff's deputy in West Palm Beach, FL.
He is married to Carol and the father of two boys both faithfully serving in the military. He serves as a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Enterprise, AL.
Commissioner District 7
E-mail: Tom Grimsley
Commissioner Grimsley has served as District 7 Commissioner since 1996. He graduated from Enterprise High School, attended Troy State University, and is a graduate of Alabama School of Aviation. During his tenure, Commissioner Grimsley has represented Coffee County on several boards, such as the Family Service Center Board, the Farmers Cooperative Board, CP&YRWA, and the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.
Commissioner Grimsley is married to Judy and they have two children. The Grimsleys are members of First Baptist Church in Enterprise.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and hunting.
