Commissioner Kim Ellis, elected in November 2008, is a 1982 graduate of Zion Chapel High School. He received certification from Spartan School in Maumee, Ohio as a chemical specialist and certification from NSS in Toledo, Ohio as a mechanical technician. He serves on the Board of Directors for Coffee County Family Services. He is also Vice President of the National Whitetail Warrior Project
Commissioner Ellis is married to Denise and they have three children - Brandy (married to Stephen), Joshua, and Caleb. They have two grandsons, Jaxson and Miles, and one granddaughter, Presley. Commissioner Ellis is family oriented and loves to spend time with his kids and grandkids hunting, fishing, and watching Alabama football. He is also a gifted woodcrafter.
