Commissioner Joey Powell was elected to his first term in November 2024. He is a 1978 graduate of Enterprise High School and he attended Enterprise State Junior College. Commissioner Powell previously served eight years on the Coffee County Board of Equalization. He is currently serving his ninth year on the GenCo Farmers Cooperative Board. He also serves on the Budget and Finance Committee as well as the Personnel Committee at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
He enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and their grandchildren. When time allows, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
